Rates and Confidentiality

Intake Process
Before scheduling an appointment, Tracy will provide a FREE PHONE CONSULTATION  in order to answer any questions you may have about her services. This is also an opportunity to gather some initial information about your counselling needs and preferences, while ensuring the best match. Upon agreement to move forward, you will be sent intake forms via email to complete and return to Tracy in advance of your first session. Please be assured that all information shared will be kept strictly confidential.


Counselling Sessions
Generally, it is best to begin with weekly appointments. Some clients consult about a difficulty over one or two sessions, while others engage in short-term work lasting 10-20 sessions. Those seeking more in-depth work may choose to engage in longer-term therapy. Sessions are 50 or 80 minutes in length.


Rates for Individuals, couple or family sessions are as follows:
 Available ONLINE via Zoom's confidential & encrypted video-conferencing platform, or by PHONE
  • 50 Minutes  -  $120
  • 80 Minutes  -  $190
  • 6 Session Package (6 x 50 Minutes) -  $700
Rates are consistent with the fee schedule set out by the BCACC for Registered Clinical Counsellors. Prepayment via email money transfer is required 48 hours in advance of your scheduled session, by sending your e-transfer to the attention of Tracy Anderson, RPC at the following cell number and email address:

Additional fees are charged for reports or letters written on behalf of clients.


Benefits Coverage
Tracy is a Registered Professional Counsellor (RPC) with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association.  While her counselling services are not covered by the B.C. Medical Services Plan, some therapeutic services are recognized by extended health plans. If seeking coverage (under your own, your spouse's or your parent's plan), be sure to consult first with your workplace Human Resource Department or insurance company regarding parameters. They will confirm whether they cover counselling services with a "Registered Professional Counsellor".  Receipts that are not submitted for insurance claims may be tax deductible under medical expenses. 


Cancellation Policy
You are asked to cancel appointments as soon as you are aware that you need to do so. A minimum of 48 hours notice of cancellation is required, without which you will be charged the full session fee.  Please notify us of any changes by calling CCS at 778-433-3381 between 9:00am and 5:00pm on regular business days.


Confidentiality
All of the information that is shared between you and your counsellor will be held as strictly confidential, with the exception of the following situations:
  • The courts subpoena your files.
  • Your counsellor is subpoenaed as a witness in court.
  • Your counsellor suspects a case of child abuse that has not been previously reported. In this case s/he is required by law to report to the Ministry for Children and Families.
  • You threaten to harm yourself or another. In this case your counsellor is required to report this to the proper authorities.
